In response to high demand this summer, Wightlink Ferries has announced extra sailings, with further timetable adjustments being considered in following weeks.
Wightlink has also announced a ‘Kids Go Free’ offer throughout August on all its routes.
The company says the offers are designed to make it as easy as possible for people to travel to and from the Island during the busy school holidays.
On Wednesday 10 August and Thursday 11 August, there will be extra crossings on:
Portsmouth Gunwharf – Fishbourne:
Fishbourne – Portsmouth Gunwharf:
Mark Persad, Head of Marketing, Wightlink Ferries, says: “We are pleased to announce our extended timetable for next week so there is now even more choice for people crossing the Solent.
“The additional sailings mean we are operating every 30 minutes throughout the day on most days next week, which is a fantastic opportunity for people wanting maximum flexibility in leaving – or travelling to – the Island.
“We are constantly reviewing opportunities to provide the best possible service to our customers on both sides of the Solent and we hope these extra sailings will be welcomed by Islanders and visitors alike.”
Parents looking for a day out on the mainland can take advantage of the special family offer this summer, with up to two free tickets for children aged 5-15 with every adult foot passenger day return. The offer is available on all routes in either direction, when purchased at the ticket office any time on the weekend and after 9.00am on weekdays. Parents and guardians simply have to mention the “Kids Go Free” offer.
