Whisky-loving tourists planning to visit the west coast of Scotland whisky distilleries can enjoy great value and exclusive deals when using Caledonian MacBrayne’s new West Coast Whisky Pass. CalMac have teamed up with a wide range of whisky specialists including most of the distilleries, both mainland and island based on Scotland’s west coast as well as other selected whisky partners including hotels, award winning whisky bars and multi award winning golf courses and specialists whisky tour operators and retailers with new partners and customer deals being added regularly. The pass costs just £25 for the year with the current passes valid until 30 September 2016. Passholders are entitled to a wide range of benefits, discounts, promotions and added value offers. The West Coast Whisky Pass can be bought at CalMac’s own Tour shops at Fort William and Oban, onboard selected ships and Port Offices on the whisky routes, by email at [email protected], or on freephone 0800 066 5000.
Valid throughout the year until September 30th 2016, the West Coast Whisky Pass can be used multiple times at participating partners. It can also be purchased as a standalone product; holders don’t necessarily need to travel onboard CalMac’s ferries to be able to take advantage of it. The offers and deals the Whisky Pass provides to customers differ according to the distillery or other partner and range from savings of 20 to 25% on whisky tours and tastings to free tastings and upgrades. Other partners include award winning whisky bars such as The Bon Accord in Glasgow. CalMac plans to develop the whisky pass in 2016 with new partners and customer deals planned throughout Spring and Summer and new sales channels opening up, making it easier for customers to purchase and to enjoy great savings and great whisky experiences.
