(4 November 2019) Thames Clippers scooped gold at the National Transport Awards last week. London’s leading River Bus service was hailed ‘Ferry Operator of the Year’ at the awards ceremony celebrating those making a real difference to transport across the UK.
Winning first place as a result of the tangible results achieved in improving the service and its customer experience, the award comes as the company celebrates its twentieth year of operation, having previously won the accolade in 2016 and 2017.

Thames Clippers is the leading River Bus service on the River Thames. Services run at 20 minute intervals between key London piers including, Canary Wharf, Tower, London Bridge City Pier, Westminster and London Eye for Waterloo, as well as several residential piers, including Battersea Power Station, Greenwich and North Greenwich, between Putney in the West and Woolwich (Royal Arsenal) in the East.
