(3 December 2019) P&O Ferries kicked off the festive season last weekend with a special family event aboard the Pride of Rotterdam in Hull. Taking time out of their busy schedules, Santa and his elves were there to join in the festivities, bringing a sprinkle of seasonal magic to all onboard.
Docked in the Port of Hull, families were welcomed onto the ship for a breakfast buffet, with another special guest in the form of a friendly snowman, Olaf, from family-favourite Disney film, Frozen. Guided by the elves, the children were then invited to take part in some Christmas activities in the Show Bar, complete with festive face painting, jingle disco games and the opportunity to write a letter to Santa.
The grand finale was a visit to Santa’s grotto to meet the man in red himself. The excited children were given an early Christmas present and had their photo taken by proud parents.
Mulled wine and other festive tipples were available for parents at the bar, who also took advantage of the World Duty Free store onboard, snapping up some early Christmas presents at great value, for friends and family alike.
Sarah Rosier, Director of Passenger Sales at P&O Ferries, said, “It was wonderful to see so many excited faces onboard the Pride of Rotterdam for our Breakfast with Santa event. It was an enormous success; over 360 parents and children joined us onboard, and we can’t wait to welcome even more local families for our next, sold-out event on Sunday 22 December.”
The Breakfast with Santa event took place onboard the Pride of Rotterdam on Sunday 1 December in Hull.
