Lorry, from Hovertravel, wins top customer service award

(11 December 2019) Lorry Middleton has been awarded the Gold award in the Customer Service Superstar category of the Beautiful South Awards; announced last night at the finals at The Grand Hotel in Brighton.

In awarding Lorry, the top award, the Judges said: “It is simply that his commitment to the customer is his highest priority.”

Lorry’s customer service is legendary amongst Hovertravel customers, with his name being the most frequently mentioned by passengers providing positive feedback. He makes sure that customers are comfortable and confident about all the stages of their journey, even the onward transport and travel details.

Lorry added: “I’m just a small cog who’s got an amazing award for customer service, but it’s thanks to the team and everyone’s hard work at Hovertravel that’s allowed me to have this award.”

The Beautiful South Awards celebrate excellence in tourism across the South East. They aim to promote and reward businesses and individuals in the tourism industry, whatever their sector and size. They are independently judged, and all entrants receive feedback. This Gold award means that Lorry will automatically be put forward for the National Tourism Superstar Awards run by the Mirror and Visit England.
