Instagram Prize Draw Terms & Conditions

By entering the promotion, entrants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions and all rules and guidelines applicable to the use of Instagram

Promoter: The prize draw is organised and promoted by Discover Ferries, 30 Park Street, London SE1 9EQ

Promotion period: The competition is open from 16-22 February 2026 inclusive. No entries after this date will be accepted.

Prize: One return ferry ticket on the ‘Sea-nic route’ of your choice for 2 people. The prize winner can choose one of the following prizes:

A crossing from Oban to Castlebay (Barra) with Caledonian MacBrayne. Valid for 2 passengers travelling with a car. Prize valid for travel until 18 October 2026. CalMac Ferries Ltd standard Terms and Conditions, Privacy Policy and Conditions of Carriage apply to bookings and travel on all Caledonian MacBrayne services. A 1-day Hop-on Hop-off ticket, for unlimited travel on the London River Bus with Uber Boat by Thames Clippers. Valid for 2 adults for travel until 31 October 2026.

A £200 voucher for any crossing with the Isle of Man Steam Packet Company, sailing from Heysham to Douglas., Liverpool to Douglas, Larne to Douglas or Douglas to Dublin. A return day-time crossing for two to the Netherland’s on the Harwich to Hook of Holland route with Stena Line. Prize Conditions:

The return ticket must be booked with the ferry operator at least 14 days in advance of the outbound journey unless otherwise stated.
Tickets must be redeemed for travel between 1 March – 31 October 2026, unless otherwise stated. Excludes travel in July and August.
Travel dates are subject to availability. If there are no tickets available for a selected journey, please select an alternative date. A break of journey is not permitted.
Prize tickets are non-transferable, valid for one use and not valid in conjunction with any other offer or discount.
Prize tickets have no monetary value and are not for resale or exchangeable for a cash alternative or merchandise and no credit will be provided for unused
Where applicable, you and any accompanying travel companion(s) must travel together on the same journey that was booked utilising the Prize.
The prize is the ferry journey as stated above and does not include transport to the port, accommodation, meals, on board purchases, travel insurance or any other expenses that the winner may incur. All such costs shall be borne by you, the winner.
Where the prize is for a vehicle crossing the winner must provide their own car transport.
If winners wish to upgrade their tickets, for example: to bring a bigger vehicle, a trailer or caravan or additional passengers these should be requested directly from the operator and, if available, will be subject to a supplementary cost.
It is the passengers’ responsibility to provide all documentation needed for boarding. If travelling to France or the Netherlands you will need a valid passport. If travelling with your car or your pet to the EU it is your responsibility to check what you need to bring with you and to cover the costs of any extra documentation and checks.
Additional terms and conditions apply for travel from the individual ferry operators.
If, due to circumstances beyond a ferry operator’s control, such as severe weather, they have to cancel your sailing, the ferry operator is not obliged to offer an alternative date.

How to enter: To enter the giveaway participants need to find the instagram content with a ‘golden ticket’ hidden in it, like the post, follow @discoverferries on Instagram and comment on which “Sea-nic Route” they would most like to take from the options here: https://www.discoverferries.com/most-scenic-ferry-routes/. Please note that posts are for a family audience and if deemed inappropriate or offensive will be excluded and the author disqualified. The competition is open to residents of the UK only, who are 18 years old and above. No purchase is necessary.

Selection of the winner

The winner will be selected at random from all qualifying entries on Tues 24 Febrary. The winner will be announced by 12:00 3 March 2026 at the latest.

The winner will be contacted by Discover Ferries via Direct Message on Instagram before Tues 24 Febrary 2026. Their decision is final and no discussion will be entered into.

The winner has 7 days from receiving the Direct Message to claim their prize by confirming their delivery address and contact number (for the delivery only). If Discover Ferries doesn’t hear back from the winner within 7 days we reserve the right to withdraw the prize from the winner and pick a replacement winner. The prize will be posted to the winner within 7 working days of receiving a postal address.

Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Discover Ferries including its officers, directors, employees, shareholders or agents accepts no liability for any damage, loss or injury suffered (including loss of opportunity) whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way due to entering this promotion or taking up a prize. Discover Ferries is not responsible for any third-party acts or omissions.

Other terms: This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by or associated with Instagram or any other social media channel. By entering, entrants acknowledge that Instagram does not bear any responsibility for this promotion and, to the maximum extent permitted by law, entrants release Instagram from any liability whatsoever in connection with this promotion. All information entrants provide when they enter the promotion is provided to Discover Ferries and not to Instagram or any other social media channel.

Discover Ferries reserves the right to discount any inappropriate or offensive entries and to disqualify any entries if the Promoter, at its sole discretion, believes that there has been an attempt to manipulate or tamper with the operation of the promotion.

In the event of unforeseen circumstances or circumstances outside its reasonable control, Discover Ferries reserves the right to modify or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, this promotion without prior notice.

Entrants agree to be bound by the decisions of Discover Ferries, which are final in all matters relating to the promotion. No correspondence will be entered into in respect of the Promoter’s decisions.

These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and the parties agree that any dispute or action arising under or in connection with these terms and conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of England.
