Hovertravel Becomes Only Cross-Solent Ferry to Achieve Green Marine Europe Certification for Third Year
Hovertravel, the only year-round passenger hovercraft service outside Japan, has been awarded the certification for the third consecutive year, recognising its ongoing commitment to reducing environmental impact across air, land, and water.
Green Marine Europe, the independent European branch of Green Marine International, evaluates operators across 11 environmental indicators, including emissions, fuel efficiency, and waste management, requiring demonstrable year-on-year improvements.
This year, Hovertravel introduced detailed tracking of nitrous oxide emissions across its fleet, laying the groundwork for future reductions.
