(22 November 2019) Hovertravel is supporting the newest Christmas charity initiative on the island; Brightbulb Design’s Mince Pie Marathon which is collecting funds for Wight Brainy Bunch. On Wednesday, December 18 the Brightbulb team will deliver mince pies to businesses which have ordered across the Isle of Wight. Hovertravel will be giving these mince pies away to their customers in return for donations.
Loretta Lale, Head of Commercial at Hovertravel, explains: “We have worked with The Wight Brainy Bunch before and the marathon is a great way to involve businesses across the island in helping to raise money for a worthy cause.”
The Wight Brainy Bunch is a small charity on the Isle of Wight providing a support network and financial assistance to local families affected by brain tumours. Brightbulb Design has chosen the charity to be their charity of the year for 2019-2020.
Brightbulb Design’s CEO, Matt Jeffery said: “We are so excited to see so many Island businesses like Hovertravel engaging and getting involved in one of our creative ideas and helping us raise money for this fantastic charity. We have had businesses donating the mince pies to the Salvation Army, setting up afternoon teas for when they arrive and preparing their own magical mince pie moments for when they are to be delivered. We have already raised over £1600 for the charity in just over a week and the orders just keep on coming. Thanks to everyone for the support they are showing.”
