Dunkirk, France Flag of France icon.

Dunkirk is the northernmost town in France and the third largest port in the country. The coastline has stunning scenery, and the city boasts a beautiful harbour and several museums & historical sites to explore, including the 13th century Saint-Éloi Belfry and the Dunkirk Lighthouse, which tells the story of the evacuation of Dunkirk. Sail into Dunkirk by ferry with either your vehicle or bicycle and discover nearby Lille, or venture to Bruge, Ghent or Antwerp in Belgium. For those who enjoy a pedal, Dunkirk is one end of The Vélomaritime®, the cycle route runs almost 1500km along the north coast of France and starts in Roscoff.  Dunkirk is also the gateway to Eastern France and Germany.
