The Isle of Man has so much to offer, whether you are looking for a fun family holiday, an action-packed short break or a romantic getaway. The island boasts truly stunning scenery, from the rolling hills and picturesque glens to the dramatic cliffs and sandy beaches. Bring your hiking boots or mountain bike and you can escape into the countryside to enjoy the amazing views and clean, crisp air. If you fancy getting even more adventurous, you can try kayaking, coasteering or gorge scrambling with specially organised experiences. The Isle of Man also has a rich history, with its fascinating story told at heritage sites including castles and museums, and proudly celebrates its culture in art and music at venues across the island. As you travel around the island you’ll find pretty villages and bustling towns, each with a distinct character and plenty to keep visitors entertained. Famous high street names stand alongside local shops selling great gifts to take home, and you can find freshly prepared local produce on offer at a wide range of eateries, with menus to suit all budgets. The Isle of Man is rightly proud of its food and drink, so make sure you don’t miss the local beers, the locally-reared meat and the fresh scallops, or Queenies as they are known in the island. The Isle of Man is also famous for the annual TT motorcycle racing festival, and for bike fans it is a great time to visit. However, you can explore the island’s motorsport heritage during any visit – including driving on the actual course used for the TT races. The Isle of Man is also perfect if you are travelling with kids. Alongside playgrounds and swimming pools, younger visitors will love meeting the animals at the Curraghs Wildlife Park, swinging in the trees at Ape Mann Adventure Park and riding on the historic steam railway trains.
